Accessibility Statement

We want everyone — including people with disabilities and people using assistive technology — to be able to find, list and enquire about property on CyProperty.com.

Last updated: 7 November 2026

1. Our commitment

CyProperty.com is committed to making its website and online services accessible in line with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and the Cyprus legislation that transposes it. This statement applies to cyproperty.com, including the property guides, articles, property listings, member accounts, the dashboard for property managers and agencies, the investment tools and the translated versions of the site.

2. Standard we follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, which is the level required by the harmonised European standard EN 301 549.

3. Compliance status

The website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA: most content meets the standard, but some parts do not yet fully do so (see section 5).

4. What we do to make the site accessible

  • Every page declares its language, and translated pages declare theirs.
  • A "skip to content" link, consistent headings and landmark regions (header, navigation, main content, footer).
  • The whole site can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Form fields have labels, and errors are explained in text, not only by colour.
  • Text can be zoomed to 200% and the layout adapts to small screens and to 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
  • Colour contrast of text is designed to meet the AA ratios.
  • Animations are minimal; we respect the "reduce motion" setting of your device.

5. Known limitations

  • Interactive maps (OpenStreetMap / Leaflet) on listing and search pages are hard to use with a keyboard or a screen reader. The same information — area, district and address where given — is always shown as text on the listing, and search filters can be used instead of the map.
  • Content uploaded by members — listing photos, floor plans and PDF documents — is provided by advertisers. Photos may not have meaningful descriptions, and floor plans or PDFs may not be accessible. You can ask the advertiser, or us, for the information in another format.
  • Machine translations (Russian, Chinese and other language versions) are produced automatically and may contain wording that is unclear. The English version is the reference version.
  • Third-party content such as advertising, the security check on forms and embedded services is provided by other companies and may not fully meet the standard.

We are working to fix the issues within our control and review this statement whenever the site changes significantly.

6. Feedback and contact

If you find a part of the site you cannot use, or you need information in an accessible format, please tell us at [email protected] or through our contact page. Describe the page (its address) and the problem. We will reply within 5 working days and aim to fix the problem or give you the information in another way within 30 days.

7. Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the competent authority in Cyprus responsible for monitoring compliance with the accessibility requirements, the Department for Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare).

8. How this statement was prepared

This statement was prepared on 7 November 2026 on the basis of a self-assessment by the website team, using automated checks and manual testing with a keyboard and a screen reader.
